“Flag"

“Flag” photographed in Chicago. One of the first images Ann Rutherford and I produced together. At that time the NY agencies would send waves of talent to Chicago for go-sees. This stunning model came in and immediately we asked her to test. She said “uh ok” and Ann ran out, an hour later came back with wardrobe and jewelry, did the makeup, we shot.. A month later the full colour image was picked up by Kodak for a new film and Fujinon (Fuji) for lenses. Then we negotiated a high quality limited poster print run in a dry plate process. Imagine today, two competitors would license an image to run at around the same time. (yes they were informed). Shot 8x10 with the blur effects in camera. Still have the camera, still have the lens, don’t have 8×10 film.
